Activity 2

Work in groups of three students. One of you will be the speaker, one will be the listener and one the observer. The speaker chooses a topic of interest to him (a recent experience, for example) and talks about it for two minutes. The listener can ask for an explanation or additional information and then the listener retells the story as accurately as possible. Finally, the observer gives his/her feedback on how well the listener was able to retell the story. The group members should then change roles, so that everyone has the opportunity to perform the three roles.
